Blandford Students Celebrate Great Character & Donate Funds to ALS Foundation

Blandford Students Celebrate Great Character & Donate Funds to ALS Foundation: It was a cool 55° this morning… the perfect morning to get dunked! Students, parents and staff gathered this morning for their regular “Bucket Filler Assembly,” where students are recognized for having great character and for getting caught doing the right thing. Blandford Principal Mercedes Lovie planned a special surprise for students today… wearing a raincoat and dancing with a giant umbrella, PTA parents prepared giant buckets of ice to dunk her with! Don’t worry, the umbrella didn’t work that well and students screamed with joy when got soaked! “I got dunked today for two reasons – the first is our students did a wonderful job raising money for our PTA to support our field trips and art program,” said Lovie. “I am also proud that our students donated $100 to the ALS Foundation thanks to joining with our fundraising partner.
